I started my relationship with brass banding early in life playing with Valley Brass Haydock and Wigan Youth Brass Band in the North West in the early 2000’s.

 

I moved to Huddersfield in 2012 to complete my music degree and teacher training. Whilst there I played principal trombone with Hebden bridge in 2014 until moving to 2nd trombone at Hammonds Band in 2016. In which time I competed at the British Open and National Finals at the Albert Hall multiple times.

 

Relocating to Catterick in 2019 and with the happy arrival of my daughter in 2021, meant the travel got too much and I unfortunately had to leave in 2023. After a 6 month break from banding I joined Leyburn community band, and recently started to help Cockerton Band out on a few occasions and after several enjoyable performances I agreed to join the band permanently after the 2025 areas.
