The band places the safety and welfare of its members at the top of its agenda.

 

Key committee members, as well as others in relevant leadership roles, are subject to a DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check.

New members of the band are asked to provide a reference before joining.

​

Procedures are in place to protect and support young players with the band in line with legal requirements and guidance from Brass Bands England.

​

The band’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy seeks to ensure that all players feel welcome and supported.
